I knew it would have to happen eventually but have been just putting if off and putting it off, there’s nothing worse than changing a URL (Website / Blog address) and last time I moved from Blogger it took ages for everyone to find me again, even with post advisories, redirects and the like, however the lack of flexibility in the hosted WordPress space is quite restricting for me at the moment so I’m biting the bullet and moving Too Much Green into my MEBBI development domain. I did look into redirects from WordPress but it seemd it was only possible to redirect from YOUR domain back to WP, and even so at cost.
So, here we go, the new URL is as follows, please update your bookmark >
*NOTE* – Users who access me via my main shell site (http://web.me.com/richbos) will see no change, I’ve just updated page hosting in the iFrame.
Once I’m in there (of course, it’s there now, pop over for a butchers) I can get down to editable CSS and further plugin installation (faffing about), you’ll see in the new space there’s already a Twitter plugin in the sidebar and for those viewing in the iPhone or iPod Touch’s I hope you like the new style for those devices, it automatically pops up in the smaller format for you guys (although you can also revert to full screen via an option at the bottom of the page) and comes with AJAX loading articles and effects, it’s cool.
There we are then, I hope you stay with me/still find me. WordPress itslef is simply superb (gotta love the open source, always) and the free WordPress space is great, I would recommend it to anyone, however for me now it’s time to go, I shall shake their virtual hand and say “Thank you for putting me up over the past year”.
